For those that have followed the scene for a while, or have delved into the many varied branches of DnB history, the name Shodan is up there with some of the greats. Alongside DJ Phantasy, he penned some of the seminal hits that continue to destroy dancefloors over a decade on and it is with great honour that we welcome him into the CLLCTV!
Having taken an extended sabbatical, Shodan returns with a spectacular single that fuses his keen ability to construct basslines with a smooth liquid vibe.
“Turn & Leave” is an instant classic. A stripped down, slow start quickly gathers momentum until the drop is delivered with funk in abundance. The sultry female vocals make this one for all seasons and round the track off perfectly.
“Inside” shows the more introspective side to Shodan’s production, with a deep and melodic piano working as the perfect accompaniment to a delicious concoction of beats, bass and vocals.
